About FMA

Kelly Foutch  started riding motorcycles at the age of 4 and racing motocross in 1975 at the ripe age of 7 yrs old on a Honda MR 50.

Kelly honed his natural fearless riding skills alongside his older brother Chris, his Dad and many of his Dad’s adult friends screaming through the mountain trails, and climbing the abandoned strip mines of south central Tennessee.  Kelly’s Dad, Garland, recognized his sons’ fearless desire and skills, as did anybody who dared try to keep up with those boys in those Tennessee woods.  So, Garland made the decision to go racing with his boys.

Many sacrifices were made in time, money, travel, and nursing injuries, to keep both Kelly and his brother Chris healthy and in equipment so they could race.  Before long they became well known as a force to reckon with in the amateur ranks, of both motocross and flat track racing.  Kelly moved on through the 80cc class and into the 125cc class in 1981 where along the way he won numerious local, state, and regional championships before being sponsored by Yamaha Motor Corp. as an amateur motocross support rider for 1982-83.

In 1982, Kelly proved he could ride with the “big boys” landing the biggest victory of his career by winning the AMA Loretta Lynns 125cc B Youth 12-15 Stock Championship.

Kelly has remained active in motocross ever since, teaching his winning attitude and riding abilities to both his children, and numerous up and coming riders.

FMA was born out of Kelly’s dream and desire to pass on his skills to those riders who wish to excel in their sport.  Not too long ago Kelly decided it was time to act on his lifelong dream to have his own space to train.  So he purchased several acres in Pelham, Tennessee adjacent to the Elk River, with a view of the very mountain trails where Kelly learned to ride.  If you have a son or daughter who already rides, but is serious, and has a passion for developing their motocross/riding skills, learning how to safely handle their bike, or developing skills that will allow them to compete on a national level, FMA is the place to start.
